Stacey is a top notch choice for your photography needs! Not only are the photos she takes excellent, but she’s a professional in every sense of the word. She is organized, responsive, and photos are always provided in a timely manner. On top of that, if you are looking for a dance photographer in particular, Stacey is your best bet. She cares about getting a great shot, but also takes care to provide for the safety of the dancer. She knows when to push, when to let rest, what positions are safe and that’s so appreciated as a parent when you worry about injury. In addition, she knows her dance vocabulary. That is so important for a smooth and efficient dance photography session. Instead of fumbling for the words to describe what position a dancer should be in, she can effectively describe what’s needed by speaking the language of dance to your dancer. It put my daughter at ease to know her photographer was both someone who could direct her with vocabulary she was familiar with, as well as interact with her with so much kindness! You can’t go wrong using Stacey as your photographer!

We met Stacey through the ambassador program. My daughter and I were new to the area and the competitive dance world. We had no idea what to expect but immediately my daughter went from a ball of nerves to a ball of energy, sass and attitude in the best way. Stacey has a softness, a kindness that I’ve never seen in a person before. She instantly made us all relax, laugh and enjoy the entire process. Year 1 was great but year 2 was AMAZING. Stacey is so incredibly creative and I love how easy it is to collaborate with her. She let me get super artistic with her visions and the photos NEVER disappoint. From beautiful, breathtaking headshots, to creepy broken marionette doll, to music box prima ballerina, snow shoots, water, fabrics and everything in between. This woman can do it all and I can’t stress this enough, she makes it seem so simple and flawless. The way she captures each dancers personality and even the in between shots. Some of my favorite images were captured while she and my daughter were goofing around between takes. The most difficult part of the process, is choosing what images to print, there will be too many to choose from! As long as Stacey is a photographer, she will be our photographer.

As a former dance teacher herself, Stacey and her crew always come up with a lot of unique dance pose options and are always open to suggestions as well.  She's super patient and sweet with every kid who comes in, making them all feel very special and comfortable plus she works well with our teachers.

Stacey is such a gem, a rare find in a dance photographer. Her patience with these dancers is truly amazing! We have worked with her for our studio pictures as well as individually for many, many photoshoots and her ability to connect with these dancers is truly amazing.

We had Stacey/Focal Pointe out for our recital pictures for the very first time in 2023. She took the time to talk with some dancers who were scared or nervous and made them feel so comfortable that she was able to get photos of them that they otherwise would have not been able to do!

She is truly a one of a kind photographer, one we will continue to work with for years and years to come!

Stacey is the very BEST! My daughter, Remi, was a member of her ambassador program and had the privilege of working with her on several different occasions—from studio settings to scenic outdoor settings. Each time I was amazed at what Stacey was able to capture and produce. She truly has the best eye for this type of photography - her background in dance allows her to able to make corrections on technique to get the best shot possible - making her even more valuable. She is so creative and comes up with the most unique concepts, which we love. Her organization and clear communication is impeccable - but she is also flexible, collaborative and spontaneous. She is one of the most genuinely kind and pleasant people you will ever meet. Her amazing talent matches her personality. There was one problem though…it was too hard to choose our favorite images! We met Stacey at our studio end of year photos and my girls instantly loved working with her. She made them feel so confident and relaxed at the same time.

When the opportunity came for them to be ambassadors this season the were ready and so grateful to be a part of all of these amazing shoots. Stacey and Focal Pointe have done such an amazing job capturing their personalities, their sass and their softer sides. She works with them and is open to their ideas as well which allows them to show off their strengths. The only challenge is narrowing down our choices after each shoot.
